Who we are
Time and Talents for Children, Inc. is a 501(3)c corporation that strives to improve the lives of Third World children by offering free dental services and construction services that improve the lives of children.
The organization was formed in 2009 and that was the year of the first trip. TNT4C is an inter-denominational, non-ethnic organization. We strive to improve the lives of children so they become self-reliant adults. We realize this is a very utopian goal.
In addition to the dental care and construction services, a very important aspect of work is building relationships. Encouraging the children and community to believe and understand that they are important and respected people of the world. We encourage education. TNT4C takes a “Mob Control” person on each trip. It is the responsibility of this person to entertain and interact with the waiting children. This person does art projects, plays games, singing, etc. We want the children to remember fun things about us not just the stress of pulling a tooth.
Among our gifts to the children are school supplies, quilts, diapers, T-shirts, and lots of love and affection. Not to mention we hand out toothpaste, brushes, and floss to all children and many adults. Additionally, we have a “Mr. Tooth” costume that we use for dental education for the children and the adults.
